Where are we?.…

Craich Cottage is located 20 miles west of Aberdeen, some 1.5 miles from the A944 Aberdeen-Alford road. It is about 5 miles from the town of Alford where there are Supermarkets, Banks, Butchers, Bakers, a Post Office and a variety of other shops. It is only about 20 miles from Aberdeen (Dyce) Airport which has frequent links to London and other parts of the UK.

By road from the South the most direct route is from Perth, via Dundee, Stonehaven and Aberdeen. The more scenic route from Perth follows Glenshee, through Braemar and upper Deeside.

From the North and West the more direct route from Inverness is via the A96 to Huntly and then to Alford, whereas the more scenic route would be through Grantown and then over the hills into Strathdon and on to Alford.
