An attractive accommodation for any time of the year

Craich Cottage is an extensively renovated and extended holiday home, furnished to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to six people.

We are pleased to say that the quality of the accommodation has resulted in the cottage being awarded "3-Star Self-Catering" status by VisitScotland (Scottish Tourist Board) and we have achieved Silver award level as members of the Green Tourism Business scheme (For our Green Policy – see below*).

The cottage is situated in a quiet location with beautiful views of the surrounding hills in the Donside area of Aberdeenshire, on the edge of the Grampian Highlands. It is located on a small, family-run working farm which has both sheep and cattle (including Highland Cattle) in the surrounding fields.

It is ideally positioned as a central point for the exploration of the many attractions in Aberdeenshire and the surrounding Grampian region.

*Our Green Policy

During your stay at Craich Cottage we would like to encourage you to both help and enjoy the environment. Living in the countryside, on a farm in such beautiful surroundings makes us particularly conscious of the environment. We do all we can at Craich to preserve and protect the environment both locally and in general. We respectfully request that during your stay with us you help us in this aim as much as possible so you can both enjoy the local environment and help with such preservation measures as recycling and energy saving.

A symbol of our commitment to providing a good quality service while also minimising the environmental impact of our activities is our membership of the Scottish Tourist Board’s Green Tourism Scheme. This scheme provides accreditation and encouragement for tourism businesses to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. By encouraging sustainable practices it ensures the continued enjoyment of the environment of Scotland for future generations.

Through membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme we have committed to:

  • Adhere to good environmental practice in all business activities
  • Assure that the business meets the minimum requirements set by environmental law and fulfils its legal Duty of Care requirements for waste disposal
  • Achieve sustainable environmental improvement

·         Continuous reduction of polluting activities
